the Quack Detective from Gunma Yamamura's promotion to Detective Inspector (the same rank as Megure) was first put out in public in Raven Chaser movie 13 and was repeatedly referenced in the TV series. now if that promotion is in the manga i can't find it.

Det. Shiratori actually was only a movie 'right hand man' for Megure in 1 and 2 but he made it into the manga (file 209) a month after movie 2 premiered in Japan.

ok folks, now if you're confused as to how a Conan Movie 21 character (which are sometimes non-canon) fits into a manga canon trio of TV episodes... eps872-74 is sourced from: tankobon Volume 90: File 10 (manga ch958) -> to Volume 91: File 3 (mga ch962) .... Ōoka Momiji shows up in Movie 21 on April 15, 2017, mga ch962, and these 3 TV eps aired weekly on Saturday from September 9-23, 2017.

here's some differences between Movie 21 and the manga: "In the movie, Ran, Kazuha, Conan and Momiji met for the first time at Nichiuri TV Station in Osaka. In mga file 1002 Ran says she met Momiji for the first time when Ran and her father travelled to Kyoto. mga files 33-35 are the first and only time Kogoro travels by train to Kyoto for his best friend's wedding. Ran came along to see Kyoto for the first time and brought Conan rather than leave him alone in Tokyo. Allegedly, Ran meets Momiji during that trip outside of the plotline of the manga.
